Lorem ipsum

What is Lorem Ipsum Generator?

Lorem ipsum is the standard placeholder text designers and developers use to fill a layout before the real copy exists. It is a scrambled fragment of a Latin passage, so it looks and reads like natural prose — the right mix of letter shapes and word lengths — without carrying any meaning that could distract a client from the design itself. When you review a mockup filled with lorem ipsum, nobody gets stuck on the wording; the focus stays where it belongs, on the spacing, type and structure. This generator assembles that word pool into sentences and paragraphs of varied lengths so it does not look mechanical. You choose how many paragraphs you want and how many words each one should hold, then click Generate and copy the result straight into your design, HTML template or CMS. It is built entirely in your browser, so the placeholder text is created locally and never sent to a server.

How to use Lorem Ipsum Generator

Set the number of paragraphs and the words per paragraph.
Click “Generate” to build the placeholder text.
Copy the result and paste it into your design, wireframe or template.

Example

Paragraphs 2, words per paragraph 15 Output: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt, ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam. Who is this lorem ipsum generator for?

Lorem ipsum placeholder text is a staple for anyone who stages layouts and wants the focus on design, not on filler wording.

Students and young adults: Mock up a college project, portfolio or website wireframe quickly and fill the space with natural-looking text that does not distract you or your tutor.
Couples: Stage wedding stationery, invitations or event layout drafts with placeholder text before the real wording is finalised.
Salaried professionals: Fill templates, design systems and client mockups with dummy copy so stakeholders review layout and spacing rather than the wording.
Retirees: Assemble hobby newsletters, photo books or community flyers in a design tool and preview the space with believable filler text.

Common use cases

Filling a website or app mockup before the real content is ready.
Testing how a layout handles different text lengths and line breaks.
Creating sample content for templates, demos or design systems.
Populating a database or seed file with harmless filler data.

Pro tips

Always replace placeholder text before launch — do not ship lorem ipsum to production.
A few paragraphs is usually enough to judge a layout; more just slows the design file.
Generate a fresh batch whenever you want a new variant of the same length.
