What counts as a duplicate?
By default, exact matches. Enable case-insensitive matching so "Apple" and "apple" collapse to one, and trim to also ignore leading or trailing spaces.
Can I sort the list after removing duplicates?
Yes. Tick the "Sort A→Z" option and the unique lines are sorted alphabetically in the same pass as deduplication.
What happens to empty lines?
Use "Remove empty lines" to drop blank lines before deduplication. Leave it off and empty lines are treated like any other line.
Can I keep the last occurrence instead of the first?
Yes. Use the "Keep occurrence" dropdown and choose "Last occurrence"; the final copy of each repeated line is kept and earlier ones are removed.
